Yarn Bombing Mystery

For years it’s been a WashU tradition to “yarn bomb the bunny.” Secretive students sneak out in the middle of the night to sew a sweater onto the oddly menacing rabbit statue in the quad.

This year, however, the yarn bombing has been taken to new heights. Swathes of colorful yarn have appeared covering trees, poles, and even a stoic George Washington statue has been given a cheery hat.

Bike racks were wrapped up in festive colors.

One column by the library was sewn a monster foot.

As usual, though, no one knows exactly who did it or why. It’s all a great mystery. Personally, I have my suspicions about the knitting club.
